Handing over of the WHO DG’s World No Tobacco Day Award 2010 at the Joint Annual Health Sector Review
Tanzania, 29 September 2010 -- Hon. Minister of Health and Social Welfare of the United Republic of Tanzania, Prof. David Homeli Mwakyusa, officiated at the handing over of the WHO Director General’s World No Tobacco Day Award 2010 to Madam Kagaruki Lutgard, the Executive Director of Tanzania Tobacco Control Forum (TTCF) in Tanzania.
The event took place during the official opening of the 11th Joint Annual Health Sector Review in Dar Es Salaam. Present during the occasion were Ministry of Health top officials; Officials from the Prime Minister’s Office Regional Administration; foreign envoys accredited to Tanzania and representatives from Development Partners; representatives from Civil Societies, Private Sector and Faith Based Health Providers and members from the Media corps.
